Both are retired from paid work and have turned their eyes to spending time with family and friends, as well as volunteering with agencies that help people in need. Matthew is an avid trail runner/hiker and Raelenea enjoys reading and perusing thrift stores. They spend time together exploring the Pacific Northwest in their VW Westfalia camper van. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. He's an active volunteer with Alive's One Step projects and other community efforts like the Illahee Preserve Heritage Park, East Bremerton Rotary and Kitsap Community Foundation.
